The Youth Band meets every Thursday night from 6.30 to 7.30pm at the Methodist Church Hall in London Road, Kirton.
The Youth Band is lead by Mr Mel Hopkin who has many years experience of teaching people of all ages to play brass instruments.
Youth Band plays at Sutterton Village fete
The Youth Band were delighted to play at the Sutterton Village Fete on 17th June 2012. They played for an hour and performed music from their repertoire, including the national Anthem and Land of Hope and Glory and were assisted by members of Kirton Brass Band.
Open Day
On Friday 27th July, there will be an Open Day at the Methodist Church Hall from 10.00am to 4.00pm. If you would like to learn to play a brass instrument, or you have played in the past and would like to start again, please come along and visit us. Have a look at what we do and try out the instruments.
Membership Membership of Kirton Youth Brass Band is open to people of all ages, but is particularly aimed at those aged from 8 to 18.
Lessons For those wishing to study for music grades, we offer individual lessons in addition to the band practices. There will be an extra cost of £5 per half-hour for these sessions. If you are interested please speak to Mel.
