Kirton Youth Brass Band
Leader - Mr Mel Hopkin
From 1st December 2011 the Youth Band will meet each Thursday night at 6.30pm. (With apologies if this causes inconvenience to Band members).
The Youth Band will be lead by Mr Mel Hopkin. Mel is Musical Director of Holbeach Town Band and runs their Training Band, Learner Groups and Theory Lessons. He has many years experience of teaching people of all ages to play brass instruments.
Membership
Membership of Kirton Youth Brass Band is open to people of all ages, but is particularly aimed at those aged from 8 to 18. If you would like to learn to play a brass instrument, or you have played in the past and would like to start again, please come along to Kirton Methodist Church Hall at 6.30pm every Thursday
Lessons
For those wishing to study for music grades, we offer individual lessons in addition to the band practices. There will be an extra cost of £5 per half-hour for these sessions. If you are interested please speak to Mel.
